Salim Mokaddem is a contemporary philosopher who intervenes in many philosophical and epistemological fields.

 

He has indeed written very relevant essays on authors from the history of philosophy (Plato, Kant, Hegel, Husserl, Freud, Bataille, Foucault, among others) and original articles on current themes defining the present (aesthetics of contemporary dance; popular and scholarly knowledge; current and amplified music; ethics of medicine; links between phenomenology and psychoanalysis; etc.).

 

His books are widely read no less than his widely attended conferences. A fairly reserved philosopher, his works are nevertheless widely studied in Africa, Asia and the Americas. His romantic and poetic work remains very confidential. 

His book for children and teenagers, Socrates is in love, has been translated into more than 10 (ten) languages. His conferences focus on singular themes and at the heart of the constitution of our news ("Maimonides and Averroes: knowledge and imagination as applied reasons"; "Paganism and secularism in the age of artificial intelligence"; "Identity and ethical constitution -scientific in the East and in the West”; “Economy and algorithm: what reality for what value in the era of total numericism?”; “The child in the war”; “Pasolini and the cinema of the body in multiple intrusion” , etc.).

 

He is currently working on the links between education, childhood, technology, constitution of oneself and others, in the contemporary world.
